| D-409 Showmen's Steam Engine
At the beginning of the twentieth century, this so-called "SHOWMAN'S ENGINE" could be found at every fun fair. It was used to drive the showman's roundabouts and to provide illumination for the fairground. The old-timers were decorated with bright colors and fitted with a dynamo generator so that they could generate their own electricity. A fully working live Steam Engine from the range of WILESCO hobb technic. This technically perfect model has been painted in matching colors. A chemically black painted brass boiler, boiler volume 250 cm with water gauge glass window. Powerful, double acting reversible cylinder with the fly wheel of an 80 mm diameter. The showman's engine can be run in forward or reverse depending on the movement of the fly wheel. Spring loaded safety valve, steam regulator, steam whistle, steam jet oiler and foot bridge, traditional chain steering. A clutch engaged gear wheel permits the use of the engine and the operation of the dynamo either stationary or driving. The dynamo illuminates the eight diodes mounted around the canopy of the engine giving off bright light. The condensed water of this engine is collected be low the smoke stack.
