The Wilesco model Steam Fire Engine is based on an original Fire Engine which was produced by Magirus in Germany at the beginning of this century. However, these fire engines were also to be found in England and the USA. The vertical boiler on the Wilesco model is heated by dry fuel tablets, it includes a enlongated glass water gauge. The fire engine can be driven forward and reverse. When stationary the engine's self priming pump can be operated by moving the clutch lever into the rear position. The water tank, located under the front seat, is connected to the pump, by a short hose. The miniature firemen can "squirt" the water up to 2-3 meters. Truck includes a mirror polished solid brass boiler. Heated by dry spirit tablets. Approx.16 inches X 7.5 inches X 9.75 inches Weight 9.0 lbs. Includes a very nice gift box.
