When viewed under ultra-violet light, the unique nature of this unique mineral is shown. Contained within it is a hidden image of an hourglass – a secret only revealed when placed under the higher frequency light of an ultra-violet lamp. This hourglass is truly spectacular and appears in turquoise (some pieces green) and violet. You will see two hourglasses depending on which set you focus on – the turquoise hourglass running in one direction or the violet running in the other.
There are two aspects to the hourglass image. It has forever been a symbol of 'the movement of time'. As such it adds to the selenite the capacity to link with the timeless nature of our own higher being. This aspect of the image assists particularly where the selenite is used for astral projection. (However great care should be taken in this task because you must have a defined destination and a means of returning).
Perhaps a more interesting and generally useable quality, however, is that it is composed of four triangles of two different colors. The triangle carries with it the qualities associated with the trinity. This can be seen in the concepts of mother, father, child; mind, body, spirit – the examples are endless. The point here is that we operate in an essentially dualistic universe which, is rapidly becoming essetrinal – from the duality of our present reality we must create a new-world, a new way to love and a new way to be. The fascinating nature of this hourglass selenite is that it reminds us of the creation process happening on the inner planes (the upper triangle) which is then brought down a further level (through the lower triangle) to manifestation on this plane.
Working with the violet triangles (or hourglass) evokes the violet flame of transmutation to change the present reality, or our spiritual understanding of it. The turquoise triangles (or hourglass) then takes over and channels this new understanding outwards into the world – through the throat and through the media.

Gemological Properties-
(Mg,Fe2+)5Al(Si3Al)O10(OH)8, Monoclinic. Clinochlore
is the most common of the chlorite group minerals and has been found at
many localities. It is usually found as a component of rocks, but is know
in well formed crystals from a few places. Usually when it is found crystalized,
it is found in little blebs of rounded green or olive green crystals a
few mm in diameter. Probably the best locality for crystalized clinochlore
is the old and much revered Tilly Foster, Iron Mine in New York. In the
18th and 19th centuries it produced many fine mineral specimens that are
cherished as classics today. This mine has produced the best clinochlore
crystals know so far, but now they are rarely seen outside of advanced
collections and even a modest specimen can cost over a thousand dollars
if you can find one. This new locality in Russia is the only one that has
produced good lapidary grade clinochlore. When the mine closes this material
will also quickly become a classic.
In Tantra, the shape embodies masculine energy, dynamic expression and knowledge. The markings named Yoni (sacred sanskrit word for vulva), depicts the feminine energy, wisdom and intuition. Together, the female energy arouses the masculine urge to create. As such, the Tantric Lingham unifies the dualistic (male female) world into harmonious balance.

About the Airport Rd Vortex-
These stones are found on
private property near the Airport Road Vortex. The energy at this vortex
is thought to strengthen the masculine side. The Masculine Side can
be seen as being on a scale that has strength at the high end and weakness
at the low end. People who have a strong masculine side are self-confident.
They have the internal strength to take charge of their own lives, and
to claim their rights in life. This makes them good at standing up to people
who try to take away their rights by force, intimidation or manipulation.
Having a strong masculine side means being good at taking risks when appropriate, being decisive when necessary, and being able to focus or concentrate in order to get things done. It also means being good at figuring out how to get out of life what is desired; figuring out how to operate responsibly, and how to reason without distorting reality. Conversely, people who have a weak masculine side often doubt their abilities, and many things intimidate them.
Numerology- Sedona Vortex Stones vibrate to the number 2 or Master Number 11.
Sedona Vortex Stone meditation- Prepare yourself for meditation. Sit or lie quietly with your eyes closed and your spine straight holding your Sedona Vortex stone in your left hand. Take three deep, long breaths inhaling through your nose, exhaling through your mouth. Feel your lungs expanding with each of these deep breaths and contracting on the exhale. Allow your breath to return to its normal rhythm and begin to relax your physical body. From your toes, work your way to the top of your head telling each area to completely relax and to remain calm and quiet. With the body relaxed, allow any thoughts that enter your mind to float by as you continue to feel more and more comfortable, relaxed and calm. Now I want you to visualize you are standing in a majestic desert, look up to see the beautiful blue sky, the sun is shining on your body and face, you feel very comfortable and warm. Notice in front of you a path, it appears to be heading deeper into the desert. Follow this path as it winds around the desert floor, as you walk you notice many varieties of cactus and in the distance you see beautiful large red rocks that look as if they have been shaped by the wind and rain. As you follow this trail and look towards the rocks you are deeply relaxed and at peace with yourself. You come to the end of the trail and in front of you lie hundreds of small golf ball size red stones, (Sedona Vortex stones) reach down and pick one up. Again, focus your attention on the huge red rocks in the distance, take a minute or two to soak in the beauty of the desert. With stone in hand turn around and begin your journey home, walk your path in confidence and grace. If you feel like asking a question to the deva of the stone, please do so. Ask to meet your spirit guide(s) or ask for a solution to a problem. Remember this is your meditation and there are no limits, only those you wish to impose on yourself. You may stay in the desert for as long as you like. When you are ready to return, focus your attention back to your breath and slowly come back into your body. You may wish to stay seated for awhile after meditation. I like to use this time to reflect on what I have just experienced. When you feel like getting back to your routine, then do so.

Scolecite creates a conduit for the lightforce and lifeforce around our bodies. It assists in opening blocked channels in our bodies and cleaning or clearing out otherwise compromised ones. The tiny needle-like crystals recieve, refine and make more potent then release the energy between one pathway and another. So it works not only the energy pathways within your body but also those of groups - and that is perhaps why scholecite is often thought of as a group stone. In reality it doesn't really matter what you consider the group to be - the different parts of yourself, your different bodies (emotional, physical, mental, spiritual) or different people - it works much the same.
Scolecite can also be particularly
useful when used with Cuprite for chronic fatigue.
