Numerology- Peridot is said to vibrate to the numbers 5, 6 and 7. Freedom, family and personal growth.
Gemological Properties-
Peridot belongs to the Olivine family of minerals. The chemical composition
is (Mg,Fe)2SiO4 and the crystal system is orthorhombic. The appearance
is usually transparent, but can also be seen as translucent in lower quality
stones. The color is yellowish-green. Peridot is typically
cut into gemstones and as many of you know is the birthstone for the month
of August. The refractive index is 1.654 and the specific gravity
is 3.34. The hardness of Peridot is a 7. The main sources are
Australia, Brazil, Burma, China, Mexico and Sri Lanka.
Physically, this mineral can be used to stimulate the pituitary gland to provide the proper regulation of the other endocrine glands and to produce, in the proper quantity, the hormones concerned with growth, sex, metabolism, blood pressure, and body temperature.
Numerology- Pietersite vibrates to the number 9. Unconditional love and forgiveness…
Gemological Properties- This truly magnificent gemstone is a unique conglomerate of bright contrasting color surely akin to the tiger eye demonstrating similar chatoyancy, but far removed geographically. This gemstone hails from the northern Namibia where it was discovered some thirty years ago by Sid Pieters from Windhoek. Examination of the properties of pseudorocidolite showed the hardness to be perhaps a little below 7 on Mohs's scale, for a rock crystal tended to just scratch a polished piece of "tiger-eye" and the density, taken on 15 specimens, varied from 2.64 to 2,71, The refractive indices 1.553.
PIETERSITE [Astrological Sign of Leo]
Pietersite crystallises in the form of masses,
the structure a result of inclusions in jasper where the inclusions are
pseudomorphs after asbestos. The colour is blue/black and the mineral exhibits
a chatoyant quality. It was discovered by Sid Pieters, Windhoek, Namibia,
and is truly lovely.
This mineral can be used to stimulate the pineal gland and to assist one during meditative states to experience visions and per-cognitive thoughts. It aligns the energy centres of the body wile providing grounding, not to the Earth, but to the etheric body; this rarity in grounding ability has facilitated travel throughout the spheres of existence, culminating in access to the akashic records.
Pietersite has been said to contain the "keys
to the kingdom of heaven", dispelling illusion and assisting one in the
recognition of
the beauty of the soul. It exhibits and energy
conducive to the actualization of the loving characteristics of the "brotherhood"
of
humanity. It brings the potential of the individual
to the perfection of the source of all being, stimulating dignified power
and loving guidance. It promotes loyalty to the self and to the ultimate
experience of life.
It assists one in remaining open to experience, enabling the effect of an illuminated glory when one proceeds to "walk the stage of life'. It further allows one to see beyond the horizon or mirage, helping to support human courage, tenacity, and dauntless effort to both create and maintain beauty.
This mineral can be used to stimulate the pituitary gland to provide the proper regulation of the other endocrine glands and to produce, in the proper quantity, the hormones concerned with growth , sex, metabolism, blood pressure, and body temperature.
Although crocidelite asbestos is simply a variety
of riebeckites occuring in oriented silky fibres as "cross-fibre" veins,
the mane riebeckite is usually applied to the mineral when it is in disoreinted
roarses. As a rule this material does not enter the re of ornaroentation,
but as silic of such material does occur in thus may be suitable for cutting
and polishing. That this is so exemplified by an occarrence of silicified
reibeckite with limonate which is found in the neighbourhood of Outjo in
South-West Africa. Attractive variegated golden-brown caboctions of this
material have been prepared and marbeted by Mr. S. Pieters a mineral dealer
of Windhoek, who sells the limshed product under the name Pietersite. The
density of one such piece was found be about 2.6 and the Mohs's hardness
to be similar to that found for "tiger-eye". Another alteration product
crodcidolite reibeckite; consistis fo a mechanical mixure of silica and
hyorated iron and has hardness of 4 on Mohs's scale. This material has
been named "griqualandite, but it has no place in our study and as only
included in this survey for completeness.
Achatoyant fibrous quartz has been obtained on
the Cuyuna iron range of Minnes in the United States of America. No opportunity
ot examine this material has presented itself.
DISCOVERER OF SEMI-PRECIOUS STONE VISITS
Mr. Sid Pieters the man who discovered the semi-precious stone, Pietersite was in Hermanus recently where he paid a visit to Tiger-Eye to see how his discover was being used.
Mr. Pieters discovered this stone in 1962 while prospecting on a farm in Namibia.
He came across a rather heavy small stone covered in white limestone. As he could not see what was in the stone, he took it back to his work shop in Windhoek, where he cut it open to discover the beautiful blue and gold coloured patterns of the stone which he later named after himself.
He returned to the farm in Namibia where he began mining the stone, but after a short period of time, due to most of the material begin stolen, he abandoned the mine.
In the meantime however, he registered the find in the mineral records of Britain, and it was published in 1964 as Pietersite.
Pietersite is one of the Riebeckite family of silicified and asbestos stones. The most common is the yellow vareity known as Tigereye and the blue variety known as Hawkeye well as weathering.
"Of all the gemstones I have seen worldwide , Pietersite is one of the most beautiful, "says Mr Pieters.
Due to these characteristics, Pietersite is one of the foremost stones used in jewellery and ornamental pieces worldwide, and as it is a very hard and tough stone lasts for many years.
Because of their very intense energetic vibrations which has also been described by highly sensitive persons their popularity was strongly raised. The name Prophet-Stone was given to it by the finder who brought them to us from Africa and refers to the strongly realized opening of the Crown-Chakra, which is the base of its impact.
The psychic Radha writes: "How rare and wonderful stones are these Prophecy-Stones! I have never seen or touched anything similar! They give a more dense and heavy impression and they do open my upper Chakras immediately to a huge stream. The Third Eye and the Crown-Chakra are highly activated.
They are visionary stones; whilst holding them in meditation I was quickly raised out of my body and entered a scene, which was like a future civilization of the Earth.
The consciousness is harmonically linked to future times. They also seem to highly improve visionary and psychic abilities."
Through the spontaneous opening of the upper Chakras a link to the Soul Star is obviously created. The Soul Star is an anticipated and nowadays more forgotten and therefore degenerated Chakra, which is situated about 30 cm above the head, and which is able to channel the communication to the “I am One with God Consciousness”.
Prophecy-Stone is a very important stone for the spiritual development of humankind during the last chapter of the Mayan Age. It can harmonically lead us through various and multileveled entanglements and veils.
Goethite becomes magnetic after strong heating. Because of this maybe it would help people who are bi-polar. Goethite is soluble in hydrochloric acid and stains the solution yellow. Maybe these Prophecy stones work with the solar plexus.
Numerology Number 9 - Love and compassion, grace, forgiveness, tolerance, appreciate beauty, unconditional heart, allows appreciation of life.
Gemological Properties-
Goethite is abundant in masses in surface gravels forming colloform
concretions (prophecy stones). These stones are metallic and shiny in appearance,
ranging in color from a dark yellow brown to a very dark brown. A
rather unique concretion, which is heavy for its size. Prophecy stones
are a Hydrogen Iron Oxide containing maganese. (concretions). Goethite
is a secondary mineral.
Numerology- Vibrates to the number 7.
Gemological Properties-
Zeolites
are a popular group of minerals for collectors and an important group of
minerals for industrial and healing purposes. They combine rarity, beauty,
complexity and unique crystal habits. Typically forming in the cavities,
or vesicles, of volcanic rocks "basalt", zeolites are the result of very
low grade metamorphism. Some form from just subtle amounts of heat and
pressure and can just barely be called metamorphic while others are found
in obviously metamorphic regimes. Zeolite crystals have been grown on board
the space shuttle and are undergoing extensive research into their formation
and unique properties. An example of the most common zeolites include:
Prehnite, apophyllite, gyrolite, okenite, natrolite. Heulandite, Chabazite.
Mesolite, and Stilbite.
Numerology- Vibrates to the number 3. Creativity and Joy!
Gemological Properties-An Iron Sulfide (FeS2) which belongs to the Isometric or cubic crystal system. Found predominately in cubes, pyritohedrons, sometimes octahedral and more rarely, distorted octahedral crystals. It is also seen in the drusy formation and often as inclusions inside quartz. The hardness is around a 6.5 and the specific gravity is very heavy, 5.02. The refractive index is very high and over the limits of a refractometer. Iron Pyrite is a very abundant mineral found world wide.
