Fluorite of course is known to be about the mind but its more than that - it is a highly structured crystal that brings structure and order to the energies so that we are able to understand them and harness them.  Different colours of fluorite have appeared on earth when its become time to understand new concepts, new energies.  Now it is time to start to understand and harness the concepts of divine love - magenta.

You will find few crystals of this colour - yet - and fewer still that do so, so vibrantly and strongly. More importantly there are none whose sole purpose is to help us understand the concept, bring structure to it so that we can embody it in our lives.  Other magenta crystals will come along in time with different roles - magenta calcite to help create the bridge from pink love to magenta love etc.  But for now our task is to understand it, give it structure and a presence in our lives and hence magenta fluorite has appeared.

I have heard it described that Magenta Fluorite embodies swan medicine - the capacity to perceive our true beauty within ourselves, to release illusions of feeling like the "ugly ducklying" and reveal the majesty of who we really are.  I can see how that would be true and certainly magenta fluorite does operate on that level but I've found it does a whole lot more too.  Magenta is about divine love and divine love is about recognising the beauty and importance of every little leaf, every stone and every part of what we do as a reflection of the divine.  Its very easy to get caught up in grand plans and to feel at times when we have some level of enlightenment that we have to do major things - that its our responsibility to do so.  There is also a tendency for us to move away from old things and old friends - we feel different now and feel as if we don't really belong - so we search for our new path and what we are meant to do with all this "enlightenment".  We often start to focus on ourselves and our own pathway, putting more and more attention into developing ourselves than on the world we live in. We ignore the little things that no longer seem that important in the overall scheme of things and often our everyday lives spiral into disarray.

Magenta fluorite brings with it a recongition that the so called "little things" are just as important (if not more so) than the grand plans and ideals. That caring for the flower on your window ledge is just as important as trying to save the dolphins and perhaps more so because the flower is yours and its in your care.  It reminds us that the divine is in everything, its in us and its in everything we do - its in the meals you cook, in the garden you tend, in the garbage you put out and yes its even in your accounts, your bank manager and those blasted telemarketers :-)  It reminds us to focus on the details of things, to do everything with love and respect and to the best of our abilities - to see purpose in that and take pride from it.

As such, magenta fluorite does help with self esteem but not because it makes us feel important or reveals any grand role for us - but rather because it helps us recognise that we are indeed fulfilling our purpose and the divine plan within us in everything we do, everyday of our lives - we only have to open our eyes to it and see it.

It also helps us see ourselves from a different perspective, from the perspective of divine love.  All of us and I don't care how enlightened we are, have things about ourselves that we don't much like - things we're trying to change, issues we're trying to overcome.  We often see those as negatives and can get incredibly frustrated trying to get rid of them. We're told to "let go" but how does one actually do that - you think you have and then it comes back again in another guise and it all seems like a never-ending process.  Where magenta fluorite works here is that it starts to help us recognise that even those so called "negative" things about us or that have happened to us are actually all part of the plan.  The father who abused you took on amazing karma to help you learn something - to help you become something.  The extra weight that you might carry was there for a purpose - it gave you something, it taught you something - or it stopped you from doing something that might have harmed you.  So these "negatives" can be more rightly seen as gifts you were given - often at great karmic cost to another - which you can now recognise, love, respect and let go of in genuine gratitude because they have done their job and are no longer needed.  Once you can see them from this perspective you can indeed disentagle yourself from them and truely "let go" and move on.

Gemological Properties- Lechatelierite Var. Fulgurite is the varietal name given to fused Quartz, Si02, which has been fused by the action of lightning striking the Earth and locally melting the sand. The best known Fulgurites are found in Quartz sands, where the Fulgurites take the form of tubes, sometimes exceeding a half inch or more in diameter. This type of formation is called a Sand Fulgurite. As the lightning strikes the Earth and courses downward through the sand, the sand is instantly super heated (i.e., melted and fused). After cooling, glass-like hollow tubes (Fulgurites) can sometimes be located beneath the surface of the sand, generally decreasing in diameter and sometimes branching as they descend, sometimes extending for several feet. The outer surfaces sand fulgurites are often rough with adhering, unfused Quartz sand grains. The inner surfaces and openings of the tubes are usually smooth and glassy, in some specimens resembling an applied glaze, sometimes with blister-like bubbling present.  Rock Fulgurites are formed when lightning strikes the surface of a rock, melting and fusing the surface, and sometimes the interior of the rock.  The melting point of Si02 is 2950oF. The color of the glassy, fused Si02 varies from pale gray, to smoky gray, to shiny black. The name Fulgurite is from the Latin: FULGUR (lightning).

The seventh chakra is referred to as the Crown. It is located just behind the top of the skull. It is the center of spirituality, enlightenment, dynamic thought and energy. It allows for the inward flow of wisdom, and brings the gift of cosmic consciousness. This is also the center of connectedness with the Goddess (God), the place where life animates the physical body. The silver cord that connects the aura bodies extends from the crown.  The soul comes into the body through the crown at birth and leaves from the crown at death.

When this chakra is unbalanced there may be a constant sense of frustration, no spark of joy, and destructive feelings. Illnesses may include migraine headaches and depression. Balanced energy in this chakra may include the ability to open up to the Divine and total access to the unconscious and subconscious. The main colors for the crown are white, silver and purple. The gemstones used can be metallic like our Fushite, or Clear like a Quartz Crystal, Oregon Opal, and Amethyst are other 7th chakra stones.

Fuchsite used during meditation will help one to access information pertaining to health, career and general well-being.  Some feel that it helps one to perform tasks in a timely and conscientious manner get your routine together!  This silvery stone has a strong connection to the herbal world and may increase the healing effects of certain herbal tinctures.  Used in the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome and to strengthen all muscles.

To help us find the career that is perfect for us we will use the Fushite on our crown chakra during meditation.  To do this find a time of day when you will not be bothered, a time where you can totally relax and get into your meditation.  Firstly lay down on your bed or where you usually do your meditations.  Begin to relax by breathing slowly in and out.  As you begin to take your attention away from the outer reality of life and foucse inside yourself hold the question. “What is my career path” in your mind.  Visualize the future and yourself in it.  Where do you see yourself?  Is it in an office near a computer? Or do you see yourself traveling from place to place?  Stay focused and allow the energies of the Fuschite to resonate with your being.  You may pass thru several “scenes’ before you see your perfect career choice.  Give yourself the opportunity to experience yourself as deeply as you can.  If you are not having any luck the first time, this is common, keep using Fushite in your daily meditation, things will soon manifest for you!
