Have you ever wondered why, even a brand new record can have pops, snaps and hissing sounds even though the record is brand new and has never been played before? Much of the noise (pops, snaps and hissing) from record albums is caused by tiny particles of dust and or tiny fibers from the paper sleeve that the record is packaged in at the factory. This is why a brand new record can and will have pops, snaps and hissing sounds. The Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine will remove all of those tiny particles, and your record sound quality will be GREATLY improved! You may have noticed that some records are packaged new in a PLASTIC sleeve, you may have also noticed that records that have been packaged with the plastic sleeve are clean sounding when you play them for the first time. This is because the plastic sleeves do not leave particles of anything on the record surface like the paper sleeves do. So, I recommend after cleaning your records, set the paper sleeve to the side and invest into plastic sleeves to keep them clear of these tiny paper fibers that a paper sleeve will leave on your records. The annoying particles that make the pops, snaps and hissing sounds on your records are nearly invisible to the eye. Use a strong magnifying glass with a bright light to see them.

"USED" Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning Machine Top of the line model, Fully automatic operation, automatically turns and scrubs the record, it applies cleaning fluid to both sides of the record. Then it vacuums the residue off the record and dries it, both sides at the same time! Then your records are ready for clean playing! Other models only clean one side at a time, other models take twice as long to clean your records. (Used) I purchased this machine in 2003. The new 2007 versions of this machine is offered for sale from the factory for around $1100. My price is only $425. I used this machine to clean about 30 or so records. It's in like new condition and includes all that it came with, including the operator instructions. Has about 1/2 gallon of cleaning solution as well. But let me clue you in on a little secrete. The cleaning solution from the factory is nothing more then diluted Windex. The factory is asking $73.50 for a gallon of it! Don't do it. Juts get some Windex and cut it 1/2 with water, it will cost you very little. It's safe to use pure Windex, but it's not necessary. These machines do a fantastic job of cleaning and can greatly improve the quality of how your records sound. A clean record will also give your record needle a much longer life. Keep in mind, records that have deep scratches in the surface will never
play without noise from the scratch. All the cleaning in the world will
not fix a scratch. This is a great machine and it does work very well,
but don't expect it to clean up the scratches on a records surface!

AR-XA Turntable
Item # ARXA-TT This is a used/vintage Belt Drive AR turntable. In excellent working and cosmetic condition. Shows very little signs of use, the deck and wood look like new. Has a few light scuffs on clear plastic lid, hardly noticeable. Very high quality with a SOLID walnut cabinet. Plays at 33 & 45 RPM. Even includes the original cardboard box and cardboard inserts.
